I wrote my book “Live The Real Estate Lifestyle: Seven Steps That You Can Take Today To Get Out Of the ‘Rat Race’ and Start Living the Lifestyle You’ve Always Wanted!” because most Americans spend their lives working to make their boss rich with the hope that one day (at age 65) they too will retire and enjoy their lives. I call this the “deferred life plan” because that thinking has become obsolete in the Information Age and most people don’t know what to do about it... I do. Using local real estate I got to leave the rat race at just 32 years old! I did it and you can do it, too.
What’s disappointing is that our schools still teach Industrial Age financial techniques like buy mutual funds and stocks in your 401(k) and hope that the stock market keeps going up in value. They also teach you to work hard, live frugally, save your money and play the lottery!
There’s an easier way to approach “The Money Game” that most people just don’t understand. Many people play the Money Game to not lose (diversify, diversify, diversify). Instead, I recommend that you start playing the Money Game to win! The finish line of the Money Game is you getting out of the proverbial rat race!
